CLEMENTE Long Finger Race Gloves

These gloves combine a classic look (cotton mesh backing) with a modern long fingered design. The cotton mesh backing keeps you cool when it’s hot / warm when it’s cool and the full finger design gives you that unprecedented secure, confident “ready for battle” feeling.

Ventilation
The cotton fiber comes from the cotton plant’s seed pod which is hollow in the center and under a microscope looks like a twisted ribbon. This configuration allows cotton to be highly abrasion resistant and absorbent. Cotton can retain 25 times its own weight in water and is stronger when wet than dry. This fiber absorbs and releases perspiration quickly, thus allowing the fabric to "breathe. The mesh on the back provides a level of coolness on warmer days and provides a way for the hand to breathe.

Grip
Leather has a feel and a response like no other material on the planet. Fine leather, like our goatskin, provides the delicate balance between comfort and vibration absorption while allowing the rider to still feel the road. The goat leather palm has no extra padding which allows for the perspiration absorption process to enhances grip capabilities beyond what is provided by bare hands or non-leather gloves. These characteristics are essential for not only for steering, but also for braking and shifting.

Color
Our white colored, long fingered, gloves were designed for the more traditional look used by “trackies“ and use premium naturally colored white goat leather. I have determined, from personal experience that cyclists have shied away from long fingered gloves because they find the average glove too hot, and uncomfortable for prolonged wearing. These two drawbacks are eliminated with CLEMENTE white natural leather glove. Unlike darker colors, our natural white gloves show no "heat gain" and in fact, are actually cooler because of its reflective qualities and greater porousness of the leather. Lastly, no staining of hands occurs because of the absence of dyes.

Our black leather gloves have been designed for a “cleaner” appearance after rough use. Our leather color dyeing process uses a method to lessen the "dye migration" or "bleeding,” meaning much less stain on the hands. Using soap and water when washing hands after use, will remove most, if not all of the glove dye, with the first scrubbing.
 

Sizing
The gloves come in unisex sizes: XS (6.25), S(7.0 in), M(8.25 in), L(9.0 in)
In order to properly size your hand, place a tape measure all the way around your hand positioned across your knuckles.

The CLEMENTE gloves expand a little after use and will conform to the riders’ hand. The gloves should feel snug when initially worn.
